webbing tape

Sofas are classified into three main types according to the basic structure of the seat bottom.

1 Webbing tape

2 Coil Spring

3 S SPRING

TRES uses 1. You won't find another choice for sofas from the world's most prestigious brands. The webbing tape, also called elasbelt, is made of woven rubber in the form of fibers and is about 50mm to 70mm wide. It is fastened to the wood or steel parts that make up the underside of the seat with a tacker (a large staple) or hooked with a metal hook.

This is strongly stretched so that there are no gaps between the layers, and then layers of high-density urethane of different firmness are placed on top to create the most comfortable and durability-free seat surface.

THE KEY POINT IS THE GRADE OF THE WEBBING TAPE. MOST OF THE TOP BRANDS IN EUROPE AND ELSEWHERE USE THE HIGH-QUALITY INTES OF ITALY, WHICH OF COURSE TRES HAS ALSO BEEN USING SINCE ITS ESTABLISHMENT.

Another is technology. The process of stretching the webbing tape is a manual operation in which the craftsman uses his own body to fix the tape to the frame while applying a tension of approximately 20 kg. The ideal structure is created only when the optimum amount of force and quick work are combined to ensure that the webbing tape performs as it should.
