Michihata founded the company as a new president and a new managing director, and have been with us all along.

For more than 20 years, including previous jobs, we have been challenging society and the interior design industry together, until we were old enough to pass for uncles and reach the age of grandfathers.

Michihata entered the Faculty of Fine Arts at Musashino Art University to make chairs. After graduation, he joined the design department of popular furniture maker Cosga, but left the company easily because he disliked the several years of on-site assignment, which he called training. He was told that many world-class furniture designers come from an architectural background, so he studied design at a design firm in Tokyo, and then returned to his hometown of Kanazawa to work in development for a local furniture manufacturer. There he met me and we founded the company together. He was in his mid-30s and I was in my early 40s.

From that time on, we decided to become the best sofa manufacturer in Japan.

He is the only Japanese designer specializing in sofas and an excellent product designer. Except for special cases, T's Mobil Co., Ltd. has never produced sofas other than his designs.

I used to say this to him when we founded the company. In my opinion, we wanted to grow our company and make everyone happy, just like the Beatles, who established a new genre of music through the talents of Paul and John and made people happy with their music by leaving many famous songs that will go down in history.

After 20 years, I hear that even comic duos don't talk to each other once they get off the stage, but we are still good friends and drink together. We respect each other's talent and share a common dream.
